Parmesan Roasted Green Beans

Ingredients

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. On a large sheet pan, toss 1 lb fresh green beans with 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
  3. Bake, tossing after 7 minutes, until the beans are crisp-tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Toss the green beans again, then sprinkle with 2 cloves garlic and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Top with 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan and 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella.
  6. Heat the broiler. Broil the beans, watching closely, until the cheese is melted and golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Season with more pepper and serve.
